15" custom-built wheels

I received a call from a racer (who wants to stay off the board) asking if I had a source that'll make HEAVY Duty 15" x 41/2" wheels.  No welded up mini-spares, please -- they distort when the rubber is mounted on 'em.  He says he has one vendor that'll make them - but that vendor takes forever and a day to deliver.

Please give me your suggestions and I'll pass them on to this guy.  Thanks.

Just got ours from Cook Motorsports and we are thrilled with the quality and workmanship in the 15x4 and the 15x10s. Dzus tabs and all. Exceptional work and a very reasonable price and leadtime. Strongly recommended.

If you want to get your wheels from Taylor on time do what I did. Tell them you are the polygraph expert at LAPD and that you have been at it so long that you can spot an untruth without the polygraph machine. I did. Got my wheels on time. Jim Travis hasn't gotten over this yet. The Wonderful One

I get about a 10 day turn around from CA to my place in NC.

Steel Wheels, fully welded 360 degrees around, duel bolt pattern 5 on 4.5 and 5 on 4.75 , with Dzus tabs welded on... Can also be powder coated (this option adds 4 or 5 days to the delivery time frame)

I also got rims from Wheel Smith. Excellent quality, price and service. As I recall they delivered within 2 weeks.

I like to support the LSR community, and if Cook was making wheels then I would have probably gone that route.

Mike had welded steel wheels built for me when he and Billy re-did the roadster I bought. The wheels are perfect, welded up, dzus fasteners, powder coated. Couldn't be better in my book. 18's on the back, 15's on the front. If you need anything done to run at the lakes or salt I highly recommend Mike Cook and Billy Hodges along with Garcia. They know their stuff.

Try Ballistic Fabrication, Tucson, Az......They did custom kidney bean centers for my build.  I faxed them a sketch with dimensions and within an hour they emailed me a Cad drawing for my approval.  Two centers less than $100 plus shipping had them in three days....btw their specialty,  truck wheels.  Found them on the internet......Great people to deal with.
