For those of you making the trip to Goliad to run I thought I would give some suggestions about where to stay, etc... I live in San Antonio and have worked in Goliad County quite a bit. I'll be there to spectate at the end of the month and should be ready to run when things get going again in the spring.
I would suggest that you stay in Beeville, the airport is about half way between Goliad and Beeville. Goliad is a really nice little historic town but there are few places to stay and less to eat at in the evening. I've stayed at the Best Western in Beeville and can recommend it. Its only a couple years old but is a two story building with inside entries. You can't park next to your room to. There are other motels there as well as some pretty good resturants. There's a steak place on the bypass near the motel that is good. If anybody has any questions about the area I'll try answer them for you.
