So the event is ended -- early, in fact. Nancy is driving us north on 220 -- and I'll tell you that about 12.40 this afternoon is when Shane Stubbs was making a pass -- and hurt the motor bad enough that the resulting oildown was adjudicated to need more time to clean up -- than was left 'til the 2PM scheduled end of the event. So it ended with a boom/puff -- not another record speed.
Lots of good runs, though -- and we'll have more as the next day or two goes past and I get the winners of the Hot Rod Top Speed Challenge and the other racers. I do think that the Waddell Brothers red Mazda earned the gentlemen another jacket, though. We'll letcha know when I find out for sure.
