Overflow bottle on truck
« on: March 29, 2010, 12:18:51 PM »
My overflow bottle for my radiator is mounted deep in the engine compartment next to the radiator. Its a pain to get to check, and to fill.

My question is can I mount the over flow bottle some place else? Does it have to be down low or can it be say up on top of the fender well?

I do know if i did move it, i would have to lengthen the hose and find someway of re-mounting it, I am just wondering about the antifreeze circulating?

TIA
Clay

Clay, If you have the correct Radiator cap you can put the expansion tank anywhere you wish. I have seen them mounted in the trunk and it worked fine.

How old would you be now if you didn't know how old you are?
If you can't race it or take it to bed - it ain't worth having.
