Salt Lake Autorama photos
« on: March 10, 2010, 10:57:03 AM »
If ya wanna waste some time lookin at car show photos, I just finished gettin the photos I shot last weekend on the server:
http://www.chevyasylum.com/cruisin/cruisin2010/20100305/Welcome.html

There was the traditional display from the USFRA with some kool stuff and right inside one of the main doorways was the Mormon Missile, all shined up like a young lady ready for Prom Night.

Some pretty kool (and varied) cars, trucks and bikes...a lotta bikes.

Enjoy,

Nope, I don't consider that to have been a waste of time. Excellent entertainment.

Glad y'all are enjoying.  I'll be doing it all over again this weekend in Boise, ID at the Boise Roadster Show.

What a kool deal I'm living.  I get to go to car shows (and get in free with media credentials...to most of 'em, anyway) and shoot photos of the kool stuff there, then do the same at road races and the salt flats...man, I'm livin a literal dream.  When I was 20 years old and got my first SLR camera (an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic) I DID dream of becoming a freelance photographer.  I never thought if it as much more than a dream...but now I are one.  :)

Fantastic photos Ray.  Anybody else notice there were only 5 Harleys that didn't have an oil catchpan under 'em?   :-D  They don't have a "known" history of leaking...do they?

Thanks, Crow.  'Preciate the good words.

I didn't count those without drip pans, but I know there were a heck of a lot that had 'em underneath...and with fresh oil spots, too.  I figger they're a lot like Chevys.  They just have a need to mark their territory.  But Harleys weren't the only one.  The 69 Triumph with the "Monster Mash" theme had a drip pan, too, as did the Indians.

Great video.  I could just about feel me sitting in that car and driving down the road.  Good sounds, too -- motor, blower, even the quick change's whine.

Of course there's the issue of the driver doing all of the photography while driving. . .
