HI it's me again. I think that i've read some of the rule book , and read all your great responces( which i appreciate gratefully ) i'm going to go check out other cars, consult my engineer son . Plus Friends and go for 130 mph first then nail 200. what do you think? thanks (this place is great) jim

As I understand, way more people have climbed Mt. Everest than have joined the 200 MPH Club.

Going 200 is actually easy.... with enough HP even a brick (roadster) can easily be forced to 200..  Setting a record is another story.

I run an 87 Firebird with 2liter motor making right about 300hp and it has gone 170. Rough calculation says 480 will push it 200. As has been said, record is another matter.
