The Sultan of Speed
« on: February 18, 2010, 10:30:15 PM »
This month we cover Scott Guthrie, the Sultan of Speed and his past and present exploits on the salt and everywhere else where speed records are contested. See what swimming, the ChaCha, things that go bang and fast motorcycles have in common with this over achiever. I hope you enjoy...

Great story Rocky.

Scott Guthrie is a legend at Bonneville and a mentor to many. All of the personal accounts were a nice touch.

Scott has shown himself to be one of those few people you run across in LSR that when you ask a question you not only get an answer but also the reason why it's the answer. At that point it's up to you to do the right thing. As a Board Member of the Bonneville 200 MPH Club he has show this quality time and again - a great asset to our sport. Pat Kinne

I'm happy to report that after reading Rocky's well written article, I've taken up Ballroom dancing, running around naked and Cha cha lessons. If it will make us go faster, figured it couldn't hurt...

HAHAHA very funny!

Well the dancing & the swimming can help you drop a few pounds if you need to but who knows if that will make you faster but it probably will help with the running around naked thing!!  8-)

Great article as always Rocky!
