Rewards for posting system
« on: October 06, 2005, 12:32:06 PM »
In viewing a website recently I noticed they had a points or cash system for posting. I thought what a great idea. Earn "Points" for posting and staying active in the website.

I have installed the system and you will notice below your name that you will start earning points for posting, starting new topics, reply to posts etc etc. My thought is earn points for staying active and converting them to cash to use in the Online Store on the website.

I am reviewing on how to convert points, or make cash system per posts work for earning money to spend. My way to encourage people to post and give valuable information on the site (crypto's excluded Jack). My way of giving back because I value every person who contributes to the website and the database is growing, people are learning and getting answers.....

Any thoughts on this from anybody??

Glen exactly, I can however put a limit on how many points per post or 24hr - 48hr period. I want it to be fun. Points earned goes towards online store items only.

now to figure on how much for posting etc etc is the task. I have stats pages on total posts, posts per user, The board basically started about a year ago so it will give me an average to start with.

This will be fun, and I am thinking having prize points for quizes and spot questions pertaining to lsr history etc etc.. this is my thought process.

Basically keep the board active, have fun getting here, the more interactive it is will keep peole coming back, and more getting involved. There are alot of people who are just lurkers and I want to more of them involved.....

I have the record for the longest post and so that means bonus points.
The cryptic posts are meant to make you think and throw you off.
That is not cheating, but you just haven't come up with a rule yet.
Kinda like the laffers that now prohibit records out of the Rookie line and no setting 2 records the same day with the same engine in 2 cars.  LOL
Thanks to SCTA for locking those in. They are their own type of reward.

The only way this can be fair, is if the posts need to make sense, in which case Jack only has about four valid entries...............lol...........

Jack has to much time on his hands and he should be setting on them so he kan't type and harrass the biker bunch. Points should be taken from him.
