From time to time there are pre-COT rollers for sale. Aside from engine size, what would be a logical class to consider for these cars?

None that I know of, well maybe streamliner if no production body panels were used. If not it would run for Time Only if you passed tech.

"Got'Cha" was first run in 1974. Bill Temple entered both 2 clubs in 1976 with records in AA/BGR. At El Mirage 201.79 and Bonneville at 220.
In 1977 Greg Temple started driving "Got'Cha" and entered the El Mirage Dirty 2 club in 1979 @ 201.97. Greg went on to set two records at Bonneville, one in 1981 at 241.848, then in 1991 he set another record at 262.230
Bill and Greg were the first father and son to enter the El Mirage Dirty 2 club. They broke the D/BFR at Bonneville in 1981 @ 241 with top speed of 249. This record still stands today. In 1991 they set the A/BFR @ 262 which was later broke by Duane McKinney.

On 9-27-08 we lost a great friend and fellow racer, he was the BEST, he helped anyone with anything at anytime. His name is Dave Owen and he will be missed by all that knew him and I am glad to have met him.
Seeing him at Bonneville during 2008 Speedweek was the tops, Dave was in awe of the salt and as usual was there helping out anyone who asked..simply put we lost a great man who will be missed by all.

Stick a Diesel engine in one and you and Pat can race each other J Thought about a Craftsman Truck with diesel power. I'm just worried that it might turn left unexpectedly.  |

Hmm,, you may have opened up a can of worms from the West Coast crowd..
ECTA / Maxton has a circle track class ( easy to figure out why )
Other than that and possibly LTA,, not sure those type cars get much good press around LSR folks.

Well there is a connection I did not expect. I just spent the last two hours on Merriam-Webster Spell It practicing with my daughter. The Spelling Bee is in two weeks. I never thought I would slide into word definitions and etymology directly.

Interesting that. Collins shows it as "pernickity" while Mirriam-Webster shows it as "persnickity". So I guess its a case of pay your money and take your choice. Leaves you to wonder if its persimmons or pernimmons?
