DanC All kidding aside You can see by our rule book they fit nothing.

As for as class; what year would you want? nascar changes every year to a rulebook we cannot see sometimes 2 or 3 times. Who would have the templates for each year in the past and for current models for every manufacture. We wouldn't want anyone to cheat now would we...opps, I'm mean get caught. Logistics would be a nightmare. So we will leave them alone as they do us.

The ony beef there was concerning the words 'Speed Week" and we were there first in 1949 and they wisely let sleeping dogs lie. Good Luck............................... :-D

Thanks all. Even for the spelling/english lesson. I went back to the 2007 thread for some history. Now I'm wondering, what if someone put doors on a Cup car.....

If you put doors on a cup car it would result in a car that is not in any class in SCTA but is probably be easier to get in and out of . . . .  :-D

Charles mentioned the Circle Track classes at Maxton. Other than that there is nothing available for cup cars.

For those out there that think this is unreasonable  . . so be it.

To turn the question around . . . why doesn't NASCAR let lakesters run at Daytona?

John, they do run motorcycles at Datona... been trying to get them to let me run the lakester there for years, seems they are too persnickety with their rules.   If they weren't pernickety, we could even let the toads run roadsters....

Okay, I yield to your pair of definitions/spellings and won't hassle folks about that particular word any more.  Thanks for the in-depth details.

As for the curse-word filter -- yes, I could, but just in case we get someone new here and he asks about "Nascar" I don't want to get him too cornfused.  I'll wait and see how bad the Subaru-storm gets.

Just a little note - My printed Websters dictionary shows both spellings as correct.

Lynda, you've got to remember that the folks the write the spell-check programs aren't necessarily good spellers - so don't always take the S-C's word for it.  I'm a better speller in that I know whether I mean "threw" or "through", for instance.

Well, that's lightened up a thread with the acronym NASCAR in it. That doesn't usually happen. :-D
