Engine swaps
« on: January 03, 2010, 02:32:55 PM »
:?  Motorcycle... Modified Frame. Are engine swaps legal for these classes? Are they limited to "Same Make-Same Bike" or may hybrids such as ( eg. Honda-Kawasaki) be used.

                                     Thanks

7F, page 112 of the 2009 rulebook.

Same make is ok, otherwise it would put you in the A class.

Where are you planning on running?  If you're on the West Coast there's no "Modified" class at El Mirage so you would be in "A" class if you build a modified frame bike. If the frame is purpose built and meets the "A" class requirements then you could put any engine you want in it.
