Good thought.  My daughter called yesterday to tell how she had thought of me - while staying up late to assemble a big toy for her 1-year-old.  Angela cursed and got cranky and all of the stuff that goes with putting toys together, just like she's heard me tell during her childhood.  And I dutifully reminded her that in a bunch of years -- she'll likely be able to hear the same story from her kids as they assemble their kids' toys.

Merry Christmas morning to you all.  It's about 31F and windier than the dickens here in Skandia, Michigan.

The "hot" toy of the year is the Mind Control gadget.  You put a headset on, and by thinking about lifting a ball in a tube, the ball goes up.  After practice, you lift the ball to 3 target heights.

For the pickup racers:

For level one - You think about buying a mobile home.
For level two - You think about putting your truck up on cinder blocks in front of the house.
For level three - You think about marrying your cousin.

BTW - It appears to work, my daughter is getting it to move, but can't fully control it yet.

     Aah the distant memories, too many crew members trying to assemble a doll carridge at 2:30 AM with the assistance of too many barley pops..........

     Took quite a few years but much wiser now, going great this year.  Hope everybody else's morning went/goes as well as mine.  Best wishes to all for a continued great season on into a safe, fast New Year.

OK I'll admit it. I spent all day yesterday helping my 9 year old grandson build a roller coaster kit. 43 pages of instructions plus on line help with color pictures and still took all day. One of the best days I've had when I saw his eyes light up when it worked.

Wow Doug..........now you have a 9 year old driver.

It won't be long until u won't be able to keep up with him.

He's lucky to have you. My patience is at a very low ebb when it comes to assembly of kits.

Maybe it's not a matter of patience. It could be lack of understanding of instructions that are written in China.
