Probably do that to the "SALT" also.

The weather station finally noticed that we got rain at El Mirage. It looks like we're in for more too according to the National Weather Service. Let's hope it does some good.  Wayno

In addition to the SCTA weather station at the west end the NOAA station at the east end of the lake bed is operating again.

Is it wet out there?  I'm hoping the jacked up lake bed gets fixed this winter otherwise we're parking the roadster for 2018.

Per the SCTA Facebook page the lake bed is closed. I am guessing due to yesterdays thunderstorms. They say stay tuned for more info.

On site weather stations show traces of rain. My son and I had course prep duty this weekend, from the SCTA property at the west end it looked fine, there were campers and trailers out there with ultra lights taking off and landing. I checked SCTA and Friends of El Mirage  Facebook and web pages but as of 8:00 AM there was no notice of closure. We learned after driving out there that course prep was called off.
