Ah, once again we have the impenetrability of bike rules by car guys and vise versa for car rules and bike racers.  Don't ask, Sparky -- just trust us (wink-wink, nudge nudge).

Jon the impentrability is my dense foggy CAR brain---I realize that is A "special construction" but how is it designatied Open Class?  so what would a gas 500cc 0pen class designation be

But that's only 5 to 10% of the 2-wheeled 500cc classes, rite?

So that means there are only 1/2 as many MC records possible?

So -- "open" means the "no streamlining in front of the driver" class, and "special construction" means the altered class.  The two are not necessarily related.  That is, I've got a record in naked modified (a/k/a "open modified) and a record in "special construction partial streamlined" a/k/a altered partial streamlined.

Got all this?

stan   NO  there are more classes than that  ---8 frame classes--19 engine classes and 15 engine size classes ---dont do the math because you cant run some engine classes in some frame classes an example would be streamliner production or production fuel  ---omega can only run in APS--

slim i think your pulling my leg----there is no altered motorcycle class----if anyone is intrested go to page108 and 109 in the 09 rule book and see the lists for frame --engine--engine size  ----you can also go to page 176   177   178   179   to see all of the vehicle entry codes         willie buchta has left the building
