Nancy and I send our best, Ray -- especially considering that you took the time while sick and anticipating the birth -- to drop us a note about our mundane request for help with the new printer.

Best wishes to Mom and Dad and Josie and even you, old fella.

Thanks, Jon.  Wasn't much difference between feeling lousy in bed and feeling lousy at the keyboard, once the worst of the symptoms were past.  So I figgered I might as well do something constructive.
I hope the info I gave ya helped out a bit.  Yer gonna send me wonna them Xmas cards, right?

Grandson gettin a driver's license, huh?  I bet he's got his eyes on them fancy wheels and motor scooters of yers.  :-o

Generations change, Ray.  My daughter just called to say that he passed (Hooray!) -- and also to report that he's not very interested, at all, in driving.  Dang -- certainly not my grandson.  I remember being stopped by a guy from town that passed me and my dad as I was driving the old Plymouth one day -- the guy stopped 'cause he could barely see me sitting in the driver seat I was so short.  Heck -- I was ten or eleven at the time.  Dad drove home -- I was kinda nervous that the guy was going to bust me to the cops and I'd never get a license after that.

I'll tell you the card story later.  Best to the family.

Congratulations Ray, to you and your daughter. If you work at it you can be a very effective bad influence in a good way! My daughter rides sport bikes and she's got her kids racing karts. She works on her own stuff too.

Again, thanks for all the kind comments.  I'll just try to address a couple of 'em real quick:

Floydjer: While your analogy is apt, I'll mention that since this is a grand child....well, been there and done that.  For the last 31 years, I've been waiting for a chance to tell my son, "NOW can you understand what you put me and your mother, through?"  (He had colic for 13 months and I thought I was gonna die from lack of sleep.)  But I may only do it if he starts complaining...and in a gentle way.

Crow: Thanks for the blessing.  That means a whole lot to me.  Mebbe you and I will camp in the same location as we did in 08 and I can explain the depths of my statement.

Stainless: Nice acronyms.  I'll have to check on the middle name.  As soon as I get a photo or one appears on Desiree's blog, I'll post it.

Y'all have a great turkey day, k?

Dang, Ratman!

Don't you know that granpaness will affect your dating life?  I usually tell women that have achieved that status that I couldn't be seen associated with them becasue it might harm my reputation.

What should I do now?  tell them, Yes he's a grandpa but he's my friend?

All the best, my friend.
