Great stuff, Gary. Either send 'em all to me -- or don't object, please, when I copy them all and put them into the landracing.com archives. I think it'd be great to have this old data.
Boyoboy, it's old, too -- kinda gives pause to thinking about the word "old" -- if Freud was there, just as his avatar message states. That's old. . .
Sorry, Glenn -- too easy to let it go without at least a bit of a tease. And yes, I know there are others on thie Forum that were there then - and before. Congratulations and thanks for helping those youngsters of us know about the history of land speed racing at Bonneville.

Just so some would know -- SR was not Street Roadster, but Sports Racing (a sorta gas streamliner class of yor).

Interesting how many trophies there were. Is there some reason that has come to an end? Did it take SCTA/BNI effort to coordinate the trophies, like having one person (one committee) chase them -- or was it just a popular thing to do - to donate a trophy in a chosen class?
Maybe we could start the trophy-giving again. After all -- our mantlepiece has a little room left on it, and I betcha yours does, too. Certificates are nice, the existing trophies from SCTA/BNI and USFRA are nice -- but wouldn't it be cool to have a whole flock of trophies -- different styles, etc -- to give away?
