Weekend project using Cerakote coatings , ceramic (oven cure ) , Microslik (air dry ) for '37  Austin 48 cu. in. flathead in my '40 BANTAM  STEVE

Interesting but I looked at their site and they say nothing about heat or chemical resistance  :?

I really like the port split aspect of the intake - should minimize cylinder robbing, provided you're still getting enough overall flow - although 48 CI shouldn't require much.

What CR are you at with this piston/head combination?

   C/R about 9/1  ,,  (2)  1  1/4  S/U  carbs  ,, intake should help ..   Crank is 2 main billet .  Steve

Well, I can't speak to the coating method - I sent my pistons out for a service to do it, and I hope what you've got works - but a 48" Austin 4 popper with a pair of HS 2s is right in my wheelhouse.

How are you gearing it, and what are you using for a transmission?

Will you be able to make Speedweek with it this year?
