My bikes are not streamlined land speed style bikes, but I race on the flying kilometer on ice here in Sweden ( class 3B). The black bike is a 500cc adapted Godden speedway engine, with double reed valve inlets into the crankcase. The single reedvalve outlet goes up the silver pipe, which gives a nice flow ( but really ought to be an intercooler), all around the saddle, then through the throttlebody with indirect injection. The spikey tyres slow the speeds down by 20%, but its fun anyway.
2009 record 111.34 kmh (69 mph)
2010 record 151.14 kmh (94 mph)

Flying Kilometer View 2010 (by Photo4Fun)
2010 clipons have replaced straightbars, and static compression raised to 14:1 The goal for 2011 is 200 kmh = 125 mph
2010 exhaust rewelded, and new cam chain fitted
I`m building a 1300cc version, but its becoming a long term project. Its got triple reed valve inlets, and one reed outlet leading via boost tank inbuilt in seat unit up to the intercooler, then to throttlebody with indirect injection leading to a rotary cross valve. The boost pressure is low. The engine can run on most fuels, but runs best on methanol.
