Linda can shop that long...    We usually keep long hours the last couple of weeks before Speedweek.   I'm just glad no one has used the W word, but I'm sure Jon had that one blocked with Willys   :-D

When I first opened my business, I was a one man show.  For the first 18 months, I did not take one day off.  Not sundays, not holidays, not Christmas (half day).  Most days started about 6 am and ended at 9, but many were 20hrs, 4-12.  Typical workweek was 80-100 hours.

The secret to doing this was to be married to a woman who made my life a living he11 when she was around.   Hate can move mountains.  :-D

15 years later I work 5 days a week, maybe 40 hours, and I'm married to a wonderful lady who shares my interests.

If anyone feels to need to work ridiculous hours, I'll see if I can find the phone # of my ex-wife.

As for me, I only work half-days.

8:00 in the morning until 8:00 at night.

Jerry, your ownership of liquor stores reminds me of the old saw:

"I finally found the perfect girl -
I couldn't ask for more.
She's deaf and dumb and oversexed
And owns a liquor store."

I usually don't sit around in the shop I even do the carwash.Add the workers who doesn't even follow what you say.Yesterday monday here in the Philippines.I was doing a carwash on one of the cars who is owned by a lady.During that night I ask the worker how much did the customer gave a tip.The worker answered "she didn't gave any tip". I then texted the owner of the vehicle guess what she said "I gave 20 pesos". Right now I'm finding ways no to get too tired because saturday is a long way to go.
