Bub's 2010 information
« on: November 01, 2009, 05:15:28 PM »
Stacey (in Joe Amo's crew) sent me a note about Bub's '10, so I went to the Bub site (don't forget there's a link to them on the home page of this website) and sure enough, the dates for the 2010 event are posted -- as well as some other information.  http://www.speedtrialsbybub.com/2009_event/index-2009.html

Scrutineering and registration on 29 August, with racing 30 August through 3 September.  Ah, there goes another fine weekend of Nancy and me goofing off -- gotta start planning how we'll cover all events again next year.

PS  While I know it's a cool word, my spell-check doesn't like "scrutineering".  Just between you folks and me - I'm still gonna call it inspection, okay?

Thanks, Scott.  You know, I expected that the dates at the top of the page -- big, hard to miss -- would be updated at the same time the little ones, in the text a couple of paragraphs in, were done.  So I didn't compare closely -- just typed from the big-uns at the top.  Silly me -- should have known better, hey?

I won't change the copy in my original post -- it'll make people think I go back and edit the stuff in my posts.  Nah, let 'em know that once in a while I slip off my pedestal.

I appreciate the correction and notice.  As a defense, though, I will say that at least my post included a link to their site -- so you'd be able to make the mistake for yourself without my help.

A big thankyou to all off the LSR orginisations who have posted their 2010 event dates 8-),,, for us that live way down here, half a world away, knowing the various event dates so soon, really helps in getting things orginised to bring a motorcycle across the Pacific to run at Bonnerville,

Hey, did USFRA go public with 2010 World of Speed dates yet? Haven't seen anything in the places I normally look.

Gee, Jack -- just seeing you say the word "normal" seems wrong.  Since when are you and Don "normal"?

Sorry.  No, I haven't seen USFRA dates yet - just went through their latest newsletter and they aren't in there.  I suppose you've checked their website?  And worst case -- you could always attempt a "normal" email to Ellen and ask her if the dates are set yet.

Nancy and I will be going to their banquet at the Rainbow the first weekend of December -- maybe they'll have the dates set by then.  if so -- I'll report 'em, hokey-dokey?

Normal -- Jack Broomall.  Gotta think about that for a while.

Yes, and the Altantic :-), although not as large as the Pacific, the orginisation/work/worrie to get a vehicle to Bonneville is still the same, no matter where  one lives, outside of contenetal Nth/Sth America 8-).

Still waiting for the USFRA dates

Have you asked the USFRA folks for the '10 dates?
