Hi, Can anyone recommend an aero software we can import a solid into and get numbers.
How much do we need to budget for this. I hear there is a company in Boston that makes such a product bu can't find them on the web.

He builds a majority of the Top Fuel Dragster wings and has personal comptuting power that required FBI CLEARANCE TO PURCHASE.

A bunch of it is free. Massive computational power can be traded off with time. Slow computer equals long calculation times.

What CFD is not

    * CFD is not yet at the level where it can be blindly used by designers or analysts without a working knowledge of numerics involved.
    * Despite the increasing speed of computation available, CFD has not yet matured to a level where it can be used for real time computation. Numerical analyses require significant time to be set up and performed.
    * CFD is still an aid to other analysis and experimental tools like wind tunnel testing, and is used in conjunction with them.

Hey guys, Thank you very much! I also enjoyed the poem!
I downloaded some stuff and tomorrow night I'll start playing.
I used an engine simulator for this project and it got me within a few percent. Now it time to put the computer to work to make us aero fast and not just "big hammer" fast.

   Make it look like the Joe Law lakester with a larger Mageira wing and you'll have it. Joe ran 350 with a C engine .Or you could ask Seth " could I get one of those bodys like you have?"

We had boost controller problems and ended up using a regulator set at 23 psi of boost which is where we spent time tuning around.
Driver had to pedal a lot (never got past 70% throttle on his 284 pass) and with all that pedaling he got into a place on the ve table that we didn't tune for yet. This triggered an egt alarm and the driver aborted. We then fixed the problem but the driver got called back to Denmark on a business emergency (Saturday night).
To make the best of a bad situation, I ran my first three licensing runs on Sunday morning.

I highly recommend it. Save us huge amounts in cash and time.
Choosing camshaft, header size, optimal timing, etc.
