Tiger Racing to stop LSR Nitrous Contingency Payout
« on: September 17, 2009, 01:25:11 PM »
This is the last season that Tiger Racing will post a $1,000 contingency for Nitrous bikes at Maxton.

This money has been in escrow waiting for someone to take it for the last 5 years.  There are a few who are still trying to break the record (currently at 228.803mph) and may yet break it in the last few events of the year.  Tiger Racing will donate this unused contingency money to the 200mph club of Maxton.  If someone breaks this record, then Tiger Racing will make one last attempt at the October Maxton event to take back the record and still donate the money to the 200mph club.

The 200mph club receives NO monies to buy T-shirts, hats and plaques and has been broke year after year and only getting support from private donations and the ladies auxiliary at Maxton.  This donation makes perfect sense, because this way, all members will benefit be they car or bike owners.

Good luck to all who still want the $$$ and thanks to all who make LSR a rich experience and a growing sport.

We missed all of you at the meet this weekend. Guy, you would have really appreciated the crew that tried to set up a photo shoot across the end of long turnout--just around the corner, perpendicular to the return road. Yeah, Keith had a prayer meeting with them. Dean- that's another 0.4 miles past short shutdown-don't think you've seen it.

I missed being there. Do you know the fastest bike / car passes?

I think the fastest bike was the third coast entry at 228 and change with the ford gt running over 202. Deb and the Gang have the results up already so I guess they were the fastest! A lot of folks were thinking of Dave O this weekend. By the way, I meant you don't USE long shutdown.

Dean, did you see the 2nd fastest bike was a 1000cc(225mph)
Ben had the fastest at 228 and 3rd was the SGR bike in the low 220s.

I am surprised that Rich did not come out with the Bud bike, he is always good for a mid to high 230 mph run.

Bill, how close are you to making it back out?

Yep, Don Haas on his Velocity turbo GSXR1000. I don't know, but I have a feeling he was not satisfied with that number though, he was aiming higher back at Loring (he went 239 there).

I think Rich took this year off to do some other things.
I'll be ready in Jan/Feb.  I'll see you at the PRI show John.  You'll be there again with Wosser, correct? Maybe bring a few extra stickers with you  8-)

Dean, There was a young guy there for what I think was his first time with a 1000 kawasaki, same color as your's, running juice. Don't know what numbers he put up but he was getting pretty good as the weekend went on.

The gut on the Kawi was running nitrous, I was on "juice" and now I'm putting myself in time out.

I think I know who you're talking about, I've talked to him on one of the ZX10 boards. Glad to hear he made it and made lots of passes, thanks.

I would have loved to see Bradley going 194 on his Harley!  200 mph is just around the corner for him!
