Salt Update
« on: September 15, 2009, 10:56:27 AM »
Spoke with the USFRA official when he came off the Salt.

Its drier than last night. The start line has 1/4" of water, its dry from about 1 1/4 to 2 1/2 and then wet from there. They're teching now on the road, and they'll go back out about noon to see if its improving, then make an announcement.

Officials back out on the course right now inspecting.

Porkpie says "Hi" and that he thinks we'll be racing.

Updates as they happen.

James,

Please tell Pork Pie that Dee and Tracy have his ice chest, if they're not out there yet, they should be tonight.

Oh, and tell him I'll see him Saturday afternoon!

Thanks,

Lynda

From USFRA official Norm Wismer a few minutes ago:

WOS is officially on hold. The course is drying, they'll monitor the course today and tomorrow morning, and will announce the decision by 10AM tomorrow morning (Wed. 16th).

They are teching all day today, officials will be here until the usual time the Salt closes, and they encourage everyone to come and tech today.

I heard that they were running tomorrow, and that they were moving the long course?  That would be a good thing, I mean running.
