Need help on the rules
« on: September 11, 2009, 05:03:14 PM »
Chassis for a G/GRMR.  Main rails are 2" X 3" X .120".  Shoulder bar, & all vertical of cage uprights are      1 3/4" round tube.  What do I need for crossmembers under the driver ??  I would like to go with square tube, if it is legal, what size ??  Also, what kind of tube, & what size for the cage diagonals ??

1st do you have a 2009 rule book. Your best bet is to contact Mike Cook and Capt. Billy at Cook motor sports in Norco. As they are close to you this would be the best place to start. The rule book has some drawings and minimums for tube sizes and thickness.
Phone number is 951-278-4243

Good luck on the build and enjoy LSR.

I just sent you a PM as well.

Also consider going to El Mirage this weekend. Saturday would be best to see the cars go through tech. This will give you lots of ideas on what to do.

And yes; you can use square tubes under the driver.

Good Luck.
