Maxton Question
« on: August 27, 2009, 08:37:02 PM »
Just curious (as I'm going to try to make it down in September) - is there a typical hotel where everyone stays or ?  Recommendations anyone?  I'll be camping most of the way down but may spring for a room while in the area.  It's coming up quickly!

thanks,
Frank

Robbie,

I may stay there too ??   I have not made reservations yet.... My crew chief seems to have another situation that may distract his upcoming Saturdays from his Crew Chief obligations  (volunteer duties of course  :-))

So until we figure out the travel schedule tomorrow, I am waiting to make reservations.

motorcycle / car friendly ... ask them for the rooms off the rear lot ... they only open it for the "Racers" and you can park your trailer easier there ... okay for the price ... safe and close to everything ... Joe

Thanks Joe.  Assuming the weather holds up (fingers crossed here) I meant that I'm planning to ride down on my 'Busa (been years since I've been down the Blue Ridge Pkwy).  Good to know they have a back lot though.  No trailer!

The ladies at the Clinton (Lou and Addy) are the best and will go out of their way to help. I've been staying there for about 3 years now, but hadn't tried the restaurant until my wife got a late night salad during the June meet -- we'll be eating there this trip also. See y'all friday.
