Well,

Now that the car went over 150... I am adding the required and needed safety upgrades.

Here are a few pics of the new ISP Head and Shoulder Restraint System, installed in the car..
(Thanks Joe Atwell for Helping) It takes two people to fit and measure,,, install was not bad,,, total time 2 hours,,, a few cuss words, a hammer and some patience (well not much patience...lol)

Next Upgrades...

Joe T from DCW  is shipping me the Fire Fox fire suppression system, should be here Friday or Monday and the Door net and install hardware.

oops, also have to upgrade from H rated tires to V,Z or W... Looks like I am going with the MT ET Street/Drag Radials...(for the rear) good reviews on them from fellow racers..

That should do it.. looks like if all the parts come in the Vicky will be up-fitted and ready by the end of the month, have to make another set of headers... this time some equal length tuned larger tube headers... My motor guy is still cussing me over our home made lakester style headers and turnouts... Oh well I like they way the look and sound and they fir my motif,, but he says they rob HP and so I am getting new set...(he promise 50 more HP with the new tune up)

I guess we will fine out...

Rev,  I picked it up right at ISP's  facility.  $400.00

Here is there website.. They are just behind Lowes Motor Speedway (Charlotte/Concord NC)

The one I used is the Stealth System.... very high qaulity,, very easy to follow instructions and hardware.

Charles,

Looks nice, that is a nice improvement to your seat  :-D

Just an FYI, we offer the Stealth Head in a various lengths, both right and left sides can be changed depending on the application.

Also if you do not have room for a Stealth and need a custom device we can do anything from a Drag style cockpit to a Monster Truck.

I think you will find our less expensive products out perform others most expensive products by quite a bit.

We don't just "meet" the certification specs, in every test we "EXCEED" and will continue improve daily.

The majority of our customer base is a result of word of mouth, ask around and consider the source when choosing what products will save your life.

Be sure to become a fan of ISP on Face Book, you will find many other racers who use our products and and I'm certain will give you some honest feedback about our products.

Charles --

I don't know, and can't tell, if you've got dual latching systems on the suicide doors.  I think this is an essential safety system on cars equipped with suicide doors.  I'd worry that one would come open and cause all sorts of aero and other problems.  I witnessed first-hand a '34 come apart this week (not due to that, but it sure looked like an issue to address).

Stan,

Thanks for the heads up. We addressed that last year when the car was built.

We installed "Bear Claw"  duel position door latches. If you know how they work ? (if you know the Bear Claws.. your opinion ? )  They have just at 360 degree "claws around the door lock post and two locking positions,,  I was told that would work.

I did buy some secondary door pins,,, but did not install them.. decided not to take this car to Bonneville.
Use this car back East at ECTA and LTA  and some Drag events. (hard surface tracks)  Did not feel this car had the aero to do what I want/need at Bonneville.

Ergo the Studebaker Build...

Thanks again for the heads up,, we all have to look out for each other..

I do like that setup with the head and shoulder supports.  Guess I'll have to save my sheckles and stick one on my Butler seat.

I will be seeing Kris  Friday... let him know my product endorsements are gonna cost him.. LOL

I am right here in the middle of NASCAR country and have access to most major brands of seats within an hour driving distance,,, I could have gotten most anyone to do my seat..

There is a REASON  my new Seat is an ISP...and my choice of add on head and shoulder support was ISP as well..

Buying a seat can be very subjective, each driver/builder has to make there own decision...ISP is my choice..

Just like putting a SBC in my Ford Race Car.. man did I catch heck from the local Ford guys... LOL

Kris was in Bristol and now should be in PA today I'm not sure he was going to be back by Friday give the shop a call if you need to be sure 704-455-3060.

I work out of my house so you prob see Kris more than I do

We are very glad you selected ISP to be your seat provider and certainly appreciate any sales you can help generate.

Hey, Scott -- hello.  Thanks for the information you're providing on your products.  By the same token, though, I need to make sure you understand that you're dancing right along the edge of where I need to ask you to buy advertising space on this site.  I say that because there are other businesses that have products to sell to our members - and they do spend a bit every month to help support the site that gives them access to so many racers.  As the owner of the site I need to be fair to them -- they've already realized that spending their advertising dollars here is a fair way to compensate the site (and to pay respect to other businesses).

Please feel free to keep the discussions going, but if you make posts that are pretty clearly simple listings of the benefits of your products, and include information on how to get to your site to buy -- then I'll ask you to either buy - or quit posting.

Thanks.
