E85 - GAS or FUEL

I can't seem to get a clear answer on this. An E85 car using "straight from the pump" E85 is still considered a GAS car or a FUEL car?

E85 would be Fuel. There have been some other threads addressing this on the Salt Flats side. The characteristics of what you are using determines fuel or gas, not whether you can get it from a pump or not.

E85 would run in the Fuel Class....
In fuel class you bring your own,,, I am not 100% certain,, but I think at the event all they sell is "gas" to certify gas class entrants, but you can use GAS in the Fuel class but not vice-versa.

I was preparing to run Blown Gas Coupe, having to move to a FUEL class would suggest Blown Fuel Coupe but that doesn't extist so what is the logical selection, Blown Fuel Altered Coupe?
If so, CRAP! I may put gas back in the car and switch the tune back.....

I can't find the fuel class either ?
Gas with alternate tune may be best ? But it's your call...

Technically there is it's Blown Fuel Altered.
Gas Coupes are technically street legal cars like Production, GT's, and Street Roadsters. None of them allow "fuel" and you won't see fuel classes listed for them. If you feel the need for these you can always request or fill out a rule change form but I would not count on seeing much happen with the amount of classes available.
If "new" classes were opened for E-85 they would probable be only for "street" classes...........Good Luck

Remember, J.D., this is under the ECTA heading. They may let them run up to BFCC or something.
