The "Great American Championship Motorcycle Hill Climb" in Billing (Montana). The 420-foot shale hill is near vertical in several spots!

Celebrating its 91st anniversary, it features some of the most premier, technical hill climb action anywhere. Some riders succeed, others take breath-taking tumbles. Every year the 10,000 people attending the three day extravaganza are treated to a fantastic extreme motorsport show.

First I can't believe they choose to get off near the top of the hill and then they let go of what appears to be a perfectly good running motorcycle.  Then to celebrate they have this "thing" where they often somersault down the hill over and over.  :-o

Very very interesting..  :-D

An even better job is the catcher, he gets covered with rocks & dirt and then gets his arms ripped off trying to catch a bike on the way down. Where else are you going to see ZX10 powered KX500 dirt bikes w/nitrous though or fuel stroker Harley powered dirt bikes hill climbing ?

Unique in the world of motorsports in that the competitor knows, with almost certainty, that he/she will fail to finish before the run is even started. I tip my hat to 'em!
Will weld for beer

Why don't they just take turns jumping off the cliff? Wouldn't that be cheaper?  :-D
