Well I'll be darned! That was unexpected Mr. Noonan! Have a safe flight out & we'll see you soon!

Ok we're up showered on our first cup of coffee & getting ready to get out of here!
Looking forward to a fun fill day of racing in the cool sunshiny Maine air! (please please please!)
Currently 54 degrees.

I'll mostly tweet updates today since we'll be running our butts off as usual! hehehe
I'll try to snap pics and get them up as quickly as I can.

Debbie

I've been up for an hour and the day started off overcast, but from my vantage point here in the pits at Loring, I could still see almost to the end of the track, but in the last fifteen minutes it has become increasingly more foggy as I type, or as befitting an old airfield the ceiling is getting lower. The pavement is still damp from yesterdays all day soaking, but the track/runway is designed to drain moisture from it fairly quick and there is a mild wind right now that should aid in drying things off.

I also just checked the local NWS Radar http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=CBW&product=NCR&overlay=11101111&loop=yes and it indicates no rain in site.

Here is the NWS forecast for Loring;

Today: Isolated showers after noon. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a high near 79. West wind between 3 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Patchy fog after 2am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 57. Calm wind.

Sunday: Isolated showers after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. Calm wind becoming south between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday Night: A chance of showers, mainly after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 59. South wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

The visibility right now is down to about 1/4 mile.

BRIGHT BRIGHT Sunrise greets us this morning here at the track, with slightly scattered light clouds, should make for a good day for racing.

I met my goal of cracking 120 mph in the Wabbit yesterday in the hot 80's temperature of the afternoon, but I'll try to get in line early this morning for the cooler air 8am start of runs and try to see if I can squeeze out anything more from my aerodynamic brick of a car.

Wow what an amazing weekend! Amazing place, speeds, people, spectators! This was THE event to be at!

A few quick highlights then I have a busy day but will get back on tonight to continue.

Todd & I came up here with and in support of team Scott Guthrie Racing. A few team highlights for the moment.

Shane Stubbs: top speed and personal best 260.990 turbo busa bike 1105.
Todd Dross:   top speed and personal best 240 turbo busa bike 1101.
Josh Owen:    top speed and personal best 228 nitrous busa bike 1302.
Debbie Dross: top speed and personal best 218 nitrous busa bike 1302.
Donna Timney: top speed and personal best 189 NA busa bike 1302.

Owner Scott Guthrie, Team photographer Don Smith, Support crew Nadia Stubbs

I just can't be prouder of this team! The way we worked together was awesome. We didn't know Shane and his wife Nadia very well before this meet and the entire team meshed so well it's like we'd been working together for years! Simply awesome! I'll highlight each member’s accomplishments in more detail later but for now let me simply say THANK YOU to Scott Guthrie for giving this team the opportunity of a lifetime! There will be other bests but the fun, speeds, love & camaraderie of this meet will live on and remain deep in our hearts for a long time! It was simply an amazing weekend of racing!

The sensational number of the weekend has to have been Shane's 260.990.

The emotional number is JOSH OWEN's 228.

Congratulations  JOSH. The family tradition is in good hands.

Freud,

I think the largest shocking pass is Dean's run of 245 on his 997cc bike.

Next in line is Josh's run on Debs  bike and also as you put it "emotional"

The bike Shane rode had already run 259+ in a mile so only picking up 2 mph is not as big as Deans best run of 225 in a mile and he picked up a stellar 20 mph over his one mile speed.  :-o  However I heard the bike may be doing some "testing today" while still in Loring.

Last I heard Debs bike was pretty stock (and she said something about still making payments on it as well) however Josh running 228 on Debs bike with a Nitrous kit she installed and wired up is awesome. :-D

Anyone have any car numbers?  What was the fastest car?

Congrats to all of the racers and thanks to the Wanner team for making this happen, this looks to be the best paved Venue for LSR machines other than the really fast ones, 411, Nish etc.
