Mike, thank you for being our liaison to Gairdner.

Per Russ Meeks Instagram,
"Dropped a valve just before the 3 went through the 3 at 289 pulled the heads cleaned. Out the garbage massage the pistons put on a new set of heads in the morning should be ready to run by noon"

I just got out from the Lake. The liner had its second shake done run last night and ran 360ish mph. Looked and sounded great. Valerie also had a good run at 328mph. Track in good nick apart from some damage from a roll over from the Bronze Aussie.

Reading the text along side Russ' instagram photos it appears Marlo is done for this meet. They blew a clutch with lots of collateral damage.

Freud hasn't mastered onehanded typing yet -- so here is an update as posted on the T550 website.  Hopefully Marlo and crew make an appearance upcoming (at least for further testing).

About these four cars. As I remember it there were 5 cars over 400 mph. Flashpoint went 415 as it.s best mile speed. Carboliner went 413 as it's best mile, What are we? Chopped liver?

Hi Rich,

Sorry Flashpoint was not mentioned in Marlo's reply and I am positive it was not intentional. I could be wrong but he may have left for home before Flashpoint made the run over 400. I know the car he was helping broke, was unable to be fixed, and was packed up on Tuesday and left early Wednesday morning.

I will contact him and let him know.

Thanks for pointing out the mistake.

I know Marlo didn't mean anything by leaving Flashpoint out. But to me at least, it seems as though Flashpoint is almost invisible to people when they are thinking about fast cars. 415 is not chopped liver.

Thanks Rich.

Here is proof that Flashpoint is a contender. From Facebook.

We kicked a blower belt off at the 4.2 mile. racepak data had us 440 mph at that point.. Car was on a rail.. straight arrow ride..

I talked with a couple of the Flashpoint crew guys at the KOA (sorry again guys for a couple years ago) and told them a lot of folks were pulling for them. They kinda feel invisble actually. I reassured them that those who know, know.

Try http://www.runsonsalt.com/Bonneville_2017_5_2/#/1.  Or https://www.facebook.com/Flashpoint7800/.

Unusually for a very fast streamliner it now has wings front and rear.
