Sorry to hear you are leaving but Marlo and the brain trust knows what is best for them. The good news is that you have two more runs than you had before this meet and it all helps.

Thanks for the information.

Just getting a chance to run is a good thing lately.  Everything and everyone is intact and knowledge has been accrued.  Good job.

After the problems from run 2 of the Test and Tune we were fortunate to even be able to run.

Even with the years of experience in this crew there are many things to learn with any new car.

Just the normal learning curve has a lot to digest. There is no way  the body can be made whole

again so soon. But...a huge problem involves the engines. They were build to be run with blowers.

Many things are not compatible as an injected engine. Cams aren't proper, the compression is a mile

away from being adequate and a new fuel system had to be plumbed.

A great event for us would have been a run a day for each day of the meet, We did make 2 passes.

The speeds were low but adequate to provide useful information. The steering that has been questioned

from the first time it was discussed was "just fine" to Les Davenport. He does have a blue hat and he earned it.

We trust his feed back.  The chutes had never been tested adequately. After the changes that were made

following the first run they worked very well. The last run was 275 MPH. The engines were sluggish and would have

benefited from another jet change but the speeds that were run showed what we needed to know.

It was decided that another run just to get a bigger number was not needed.

Target550 was on the road to Aurora, OR about 9 AM.

I'm 3 months behind with the Target550 site so I'll be locked in until I get it updated.

From the Target550 team: CONGRATULATIONS     DANNY THOMPSON.

The last time I talked to Marlo it sounded impossible to be ready before next year.

The car will be returned to Hume's shop for the new panels that were destroyed

at the Test and Tune. Then the fix on the blowers is also a huge adventure.

Les Davenport will hole up during the winter and solve the problem. There is

no other practical blower to use. The car was designed around this setup

and nothing else will fit the space available.

So again I say, please be patient. We are just as anxious to run as you are to see

it run. The only difference is that we are the ones that must do the fix.

I'll keep everyone advised.
