That's a great looking car; it resembles the JCB streamliner in many ways. One thing-- to me, the windshield angle seems to an abrupt change from the horizontal body. Would a fairing help direct the airflow over the surface?

Nice photos, Ray.

Regards, Neil  Tucson, AZ

I think the angle might appear steeper than it is in that particular picture.

Here's another;

Open the website. The top has a foto that shows the angle of the windscreen.

Nothing radical about it.

http://www.target550.com/

That will open to the image.

There are so many things happening with this project at this time.

Many things are in transition.

As soon as something is a known fact  I will fill you in.

The car is on the road. Early Monday Marlo and crew left the hanger

and are on their way. We are to take our place in the arena Wed afternoon.

The streamliners get a little head start because of their length. It will

allow extra time for them to inch their way into place.

Stay tuned and I'll let you know when I know.

COME ON DOWN !!  See you at the GNRS.

This angle seems sensible to me.

It was good in the wind tunnel.

The Bonneville display will be in Building 9.  I've looked at the layout and can't find our place.  Must be a mistake.

Freud;

The previous photo made it look very vertical; I can see now that it looks great.

For anyone that may be staying in the Long Beach/Orange County area, Saturday morning at the Doughnut Shop is a great place to see some nice rods. Corner of Adams and Magnolia in Huntington Beach. Starts early, around 6:30 AM and clears out by 9. Next go to Jack's Garage, I can find it but I can't remember the streets!

Ran up on the Target 550 trailer and tow truck around noon just pulling into the Saugus area. See you all at the GNRS!

  A f**king tow truck?  That's how I arrived at speedweek a couple of years back; one tow truck, two trips.   :-P  ol one run, out.

Yup.  We're here in Pomona.  And there's a new post on the Target 550 site.  Here's a teaser photo:

The post shows the liner's color change.  In the teaser photo, the guy (Rob Samples of Canby Graphics) isn't waving his hands to invoke a spell of witchcraft, but you'll have to read the post to see what he's doing.    :-o
