Hi Freud

I have one more good one from Pat, the Fuel guys were racing at a southern border strip and on Fri nite a few toddys at the local cantenna.

Well the Fuel guys were not doing very well with the local ladys execpt for a Jet Car driver that was a real lady's man, so to cement the deal with a real fox setting on his lap he takes his finger dips it in his rum and across the candle flame and lights off his cigar then back in the rum to put the fire out WOW.

As Pat says he just out machoed the whole bunch in the bar, and walked out the door with the fox on his arm and how in the hell do you top that trick.

Pat had a ton of these great racing stories to tell, and he did it good too.

Hi Frued
This is the best racing story i have ever heard, about being a stand up guy and how it does no pay to cheat another racer as they don't forget a thing.
In the early 70's young Macelreath was tyring to make the show at the speedway on bump day, and about 20 mph off the pace.
JIm McKay from ABC tv was saying why don't they wave him off the track, so Salt Walther can get in the field in a new team Penske McLaren car his dad had just bought for bump day as Salt had bent his other cars.
Well years later while having lunch with Bobby Strulman & Rocky Phillips from Champion Spark plugs, the story came and Rocky says Don you never heard what happened .
Well it turns out that Salt had skipped out on paying a few bucks to Jim Macelreath and he never forgot, figuring some day he would get even well you could write a better script than keeping his kid on the track till the gun wen't off and the starting grid was set.
So pour old Salt sat there in his brand new M16 ready to go out and surely would have put it in the middle of the pack, boy you talk about getting even and then some.
Like they say what goes around & comes around.

Freud,
You still owe me (us) some info on the steering, I know it is some sort of hydraulic/slave system but what are the details?? If you could.

Hi Freud

Unless you have done a little fab work in your life you can't really appreciate what this build team has done, wow i just shake my head as i see this high speed marvel come together.

They deserve an Blue Ribbbon Award to say the least and a 500 mph plus new record.

I guess this is what you have been waiting for.

Be patient viewers. Arrangements have been started to have the Treit and Davenport streamliner at Speed Week 2012.

It's not set in stone but there is a good possibility.

As soon as something is firmed up it will be posted.

No reason for you to ask a bunch questions because this is all I know.

"Treit and Davenport streamliner at Speed Week 2012."

Did you leave a word out?

"Treit and Davenport streamliner running at Speed Week 2012."

Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.
