There is an excellent chance that this weeks post will be today: Thursday.

Give Ray a couple hours to get it done.  Now it's 2:04 PDT.

I'll post the url here as soon as I receive it.

At least Hume has good fashion sense! Wearing one of my pal Cole Fosters Tshirts! BTW, Cole is a Hume admirerer due to his late pops, Pat. 6 degrees of TF Funnycar here boys and girls.

Hume and Pat Foster were very close. The accomplished a lot together and I feel that

Pat would have been part of this project had he not passed on when he did.

I have often noticed that there never seems to be any dust in the shop and it is always remarkably clean. This has always impressed me and I have always meant to ask, how is it done? The metal fabrication alone would be enough to mess up most shops now take into consideration the work done with wood that goes on. I cringe everytime I do wood working in th shop due to the huge saw dust mess it makes. What is your secret how do you keep it so clean? Is it just old fashioned elbow grease and time?

Imagine that, cleaning up after one's self? A lesson I have been teaching my kids for the last 14 years.

It is posted.

As the reassembly glides along new images of previously seem groups of pieces and places appear.

It's fun to revisit them and see them in their Sunday best.

Dave is the one that gets the fun of opening the zip lock bags and mating the enclosed jewels with their surrounding neighbors.

The answer to the "scratch" or incorrectly identified "mark maker" on the engine plate is shown in this post.

In fact it is the first item to be shown. No one would have guessed the answer.

Hi Guys

Pat was telling me one of his great stories, he was driving the Wonder Wagon  Funny car back in the day and had a match race lined up with Jungle Jim in the mid west.

Pat has made a couple of runs and they were all waiting for Jim to show up after being quite late, the place was kinda like Long Beach with a elevated Freeway in front of the strip entrance.

So all of a sudden the people in the stands are looking at the Road and Jim unloads his racer up there, lights it off drives down the off ramp into the track up to the line and does a full track burn out.

So Pat says i might as well have gone home as he has the whole place right in this hands, what a showman he was !!!

I met Pat when he was driving for Rocky Childs when the dragster was brand new, great guy and good friend  R.I.P. Pat

Don, we are honored that You posted that story.

This site is quite old school and Foster and Jungle Jim were the foundation of this sport.

I'm happy that you added a link to the racing history and Hume is a realistic part of it.

Thanks Again,
