For once in a long time we will have a post early tomorrow morning.

Just to keep from having to cram I have already send post 163 to Ray Therat.

I corrected a mistake that I sent to Ray last week.

I can assure everyone that the post for next week will also be ready on time.

THANKS for following this build site.

Just as advertised, Post 163 is now available for your perusal.  :)

http://www.target550.com/gallery/163_drive_boxes_tape/index.html

As Freud mentioned, there's an explanation of the drive belt boxes (along with some great photos of 'em) and some very colorful shots that show the yellow tape that's used to protect the frame's paint in areas where work is going on.  Colorful is good.  :)

There are a few more items, but I'll leave it to the viewer to check those out.

And here are a coupla "teaser" images hinting at what will be seen in the next post:

We hope you enjoy 'em,

Ray, Freud

Thank you for what you do. the "color" shots are going to help do a lot of "explaining" can't wait to see the motors in place.

Freud and Ray,

Thanks for all the updates on this build. The progress is fantastic. I caught myself drooling while looking at the pictures.
I like those belt drives so much, if I had some spare money, I would build a Sidewinder REMR around something similar.

Thanks again and I look forward to seeing this liner run.

I may have a drug problem? This is it! My weekly fix of Target 550. Its like Christmas every Friday. I wait in anticipation for my chance to hit enter, and marvel at all the great details. Thanks to the whole Target 550 team!

 On a side note???
I went to visit family in Dallas, TX. a few weeks ago. Just happened to be wearing the Salt Talks 12th annual T-shirt.
Lots of comments about the naked guy on motorcycle. I tried to tell the story, but was not there. Will you please help us Freud?

Rat, I may be able to help clear up the mystery.
According to my usually very reliable sources, many years ago Dr. Freud somehow ended up in the bedroom of the Mayor of Wendovers residence.
Unfortunately the only ones present were the wife of the Mayor and the previously mentioned Dr. Freud.
This having occured during a mid week rainout on the salt, the Mayor returned home earlier than usual and the esteemed Doctor is said to have exited the premisis rather hastely, and the picture was snapped by one of the first ever photo radar detectors which incedently clocked the good Doctor at over one hundred miles a hour passing what is now the CarQuest auto parts store.
Fortunatly, the town cop had a 1964 Ford Galaxie four door with a dead cylinder, and was unable to nab the "perpetrator".
Thank God, due to the Statue of Limitations, A few years back the good Doctor was able to admit to the truth of the matter publicly, and the rest is........... as they say, HISTORY.
Bob (who speaks only the God's truth......... so help me God).

The plug wire was off that dead cylinder.

You are truely my hero Glen.  If on my last day on Earth I could recite all the cool things I have done, it would probably take a hour or so.
With you, the funeral would have to be delayed for at least a week just to hear the stuff you did that was LEGAL.
And I am not even going to metion the motorcycles that "fell out the door" of the helicopter over Hawaii during a photo shoot, or any other hyjinx you happened to be present at ( by sheer coincedence, no doubt).
I might add, that I first met the esteemed Doctor for the first time in the parking lot of Smith's in West Wendover.
That would have been the day before the 50th Speedweek, when after no sleep for two days culminating in a fourteen hour non stop drive, I pulled into Smith's, got out and smelled gas.  I looked under the truck and the stock GM plastic three way fuel valve had split and gas was dripping onto the exhaust pipe.  How it didn't ignite is beyond me.
So there I was, laying in the drip oil, dried puke, and spilled soft drinks under my truck in the Smith's parking lot when a voice came from nowhere and said "you know you are supposed to take care of that kind of sh*t at home before you leave".
That folk's was not only my first meeting with Freud, but as close as I have been to killing a stranger.
Any one who has yet to meet him should do so post haste, as someday soon (?) he is due to be pickled so as to become a permanent display (along with Geisler) in the new Wendover Museum.
p.s.  the mayor and his ex wife will not be on display.       Bob

ratpatrol...............

Bob quit taking his meds.

That has scrambled his recall.

My ride on the Trumpet was to fulfill a requirement of my probation.

Bob didn't even know i was legally committed.

I heard Bob sniffs glue every morning and wonders where the rest of the day went. I think he was stealing the cataletic converter from that truck and it was his own puke he was laying in. Ya all have a good day now.

I sorta have the feeling that our audience experiences.

I'm 1200 miles from home and even though I have already shipped the next post to Ray Therat

i am waiting to see it posted.

I guess I'm getting some of your experiences.

I know it will be there Friday but I too am anxious.

This teaches me that our fans should never have to wait any longer than Friday.

Kinda like I have to eat my own cooking.

Doc, it does seem like the natives are a little more restless than usual... maybe because we see the possibility of the light appearing at the end of the 10 year long tunnel  :-D
