There are 48 images of painting the frame on the 'liner.

Just posted tonight.

Here is the url:    http://www.target550.com/gallery/159_paint_plus/index.html

The subject is Paint Plus. It's about prepping and painting the frame.....inside a machine shop without a paint booth.

It's also about the paint.

Have fun reading through these images.

I'm on the road Friday AM to the Bonneville NW Reunion in Portland. I have the fotos with me and I will try to

get a post done for Friday or Saturday posting. Ray Therat has an assignment in the Portland area that will take Friday afternoon

and Sunday. Friday night the PT boat fellows will be at the hotel and Saturday AM is the invited tour of their boat. I have no idea

when we will get teh post online but there will be one this weekend.

Wish you could be with us this weekend.

Wheels......it's already started. The fellows from PT Boat 658 knocked our sox off with their presentation.

They are taking our people on a tour of the boat Saturday morning and will fire up one of the rare Packard

engines.

Thanks for supporting us................

A quickie:  I'm in Portland for the Bonneville NW Reunion.  ( http://bonnevillenwreunion.com/

Friday nite we had a presentation by the guys who've restored a PT boat to "as close to original" as possible.  Then Saturday morning, we got to go see the boat.  What a great experience!  They fired up one of the 3 V12 motors and blew us all away with the level of noise in the engine room.  And to think that there were 2 more motors that were used at the same time.  Unreel!

Check out their site here:
http://www.savetheptboatinc.com/index.htm

Saturday nite Dave Davidson talked about his experience driving the 911 roadster and being the first to run one over 300 mph on the salt and over 250 on the dirt at El Mirage.  Fascinating!

I gotta get moving, but I'm having a great time.  I wish everyone could be here and enjoy this.

A preview of a photo coming to a post office wall near you.  Jason Hosking, Dave Jeffers, Ray Therat and Jim Hume.  Shot today at Hume's shop just before the witnesses identified the usual suspects.

A few days late but still showing compassion........OH YA !!

Ray has just finished the work to make Post 160 available to the public.

Here is the url: http://www.target550.com/gallery/160_bone_yard_&_parts_pickers/index.html

At long last the reassembly has started.

Have fun.

Where would we be without Ziploc bags with the panel to write on?

If there is question about how a part is installed there are thousands of photos.

And don't think I didn't miss the stack of well aged wood.

Amazing how, through your and Ray's efforts and diligence, we can recognize most of the parts in the latest photos. You have done a great service to all of us "Kibutzers" as we have watched the progress of this car. I agree with Dean that your photo log of this build will also be a great assistance to the crew as they reassemble.

Thanks!!!
