Diverticulitis can usually be handled rather easily with a little care. If you get over confident and decide you can ignore it because you're doing so well, it can turn around and bite you. Generally the recovery goes well if you stay on track. Guess how I know all these details?  I hope the infection clears up quickly and things return to normal. Pete |

It seems that the late night excursion to the hospital and the meds that were prescribed as a result have turned things in Doris' favor.
We went back to the primary care physician a few minutes ago and she has shown an adequate recovery.
She told her physician, "I had to get better. He needs to go to B'ville tomorrow."
WENDOVER.......here I come.
I'll be at Motel 6 by 1:30 PM Friday Utah time.

Bucketlist.......You have it right. We have been married 57 years and that is the treatment
to which I have become accustomed. The shuttle picked me up at 04:05 and I'm checked in
at SEA TAC at 06:05. Of course I awaken her and the cat at 03:25.
Now the week that we all live for is ready to start. I try to not get too jacked until I walk into
the airport. It's all OK now.
Long live Bonneville and the related racing machines.

Life is good. Nancy and I found Freud and Marlo (and a few other reprobates) at the 99 Cent ice cream shop next to Motel 6 this evening. All of us are happy to be here. And the last we saw of Ray -- he was at Land's End working on the Target 550 update.

As mentioned on Avanti Kid thread 'couple days ago, sombody get Stan Back to buy a Large Avanti Kid T shirt for IB's brother Steve. Steve's '63 model year is half as old as he -1 on the 21st!

Rev Stan Back had his meeting at the same time as Salt Talks and the storm last night.
His attendance was down but many of the people feel to their knees when the tent collapsed.
As soon as they could breath the chant was get me out of here but the exit was blocked
until they made their meager penitence.
Stan Back was off the mud bog before any of them. He had no wrecker fee but many
of his congregation amassed a bill for towing.
Since he had new wheels and tires on the Back Sedan he was able to make it to high ground.
There is no grapefruit juice left in Wendover but he had a marvelous day since he brokered their towing charges
with the only wrecker between SLC and Wells.
Stan Back is clairvoyant.

Was a pleasure meeting Freud, Ray and especially Marlo! I dont know who set Dr Goggles and myself up at the table and let Marlo hold court but it was a highlight for sure. To hear the insight into this project was inspiring to say the least! Freud, that handshake you gave me and the reply was one of the most sincere gestures I have ever had. Thank you and RTR for all your wonderful detailed pictures and explanations. As been said, the detail on this car is incredible.
Would it be possible to show in a future post the method of attaching the plastic tubing brackets to the frame. I know the frame is pressurized so the attachment screws can't be just drilled and tapped and they should not be, but didn't see any fixture to retain them.

Just a guess, but if you look at all of the plastic brackets the frame has been ground underneath. If you were just drilling and tapping you wouldn't do that. I'm going to take a SWAG and say that a blind threaded insert was welded in. Note: WAG = Wild As s Guess. SWAG = Scientific Wild As s Guess |
