Neil........Porsche has done a lot of things before others.

I just posted it as one of the features of this build.

We certainly don't claim exclusivity for this testing method.

Thanks for recognizing Porsche as a great standard.

It's also been used in some aircraft for quite a few years. I'm not sure exactly when it started. There generally isn't any sort of alarm system or warning while the vehicle or aircraft is in motion. It's sufficient to check the gauge as part of a regular maintenance program.

Porsche had to pressurize their chassis so they could find all of the crummy welds on the thing!!! I have never seen a good aluminum weld from a German factory. We had a Kremer Bros. K4 at Interscope in 1982, it was a full aluminum tubing framed 935 style Porsche 911. The welds were frightening!! along with so many other things that made it a real POS car. Ongais wouldn't race it, and he was really brave, but not stupid.

Freud;

If you are interested in Porsches of the 917 era, as well as the Ford GT40, find a book "Racing in the Rain" by John Horsman. It is full of background info on cars & drivers, and why they (JW/Gulf Racing) won races and lost others.
John is currently recovering fron a kidney transplant.

Thanks Neil.  I may need a book this coming week. Looks like my wife may need a helping hand.

We are on the way to the ER. She may be having a gall stone attack.

I'll know soon.

Could be the first miss on B'ville since 1963.

Freud, I hope things prove to be not too serious and her recovery is quick. When I was talking to Bob this morning I told him to say hi to you. With things going well you may be there to receive it. Wishing you and your wife all the best.

Five hours for a CT scan revealed that she has diverticulitis and an infected place in her colon.

Eighteen years ago she had colon cancer and she is very aware of her colon.

We went to the all night pharmacy and she has taken her first dose of antibiotic.

After her appointment with the physician Thursday afternoon I'll know my plans.

Thanks to each of you for the love.

This LSR family is stellar.

Thank God it wasn't any worse.  I hope you can make it to SW, but if you can't, I'll visit Kepner at the Kilo Klub shade and stand in for ya.  :)  Prayers will continue.
