Freud;

Those lines look pretty vulnerable down there.

I'll be certain to pass your opinion on to Jim.

For all I know they may be planning an enclosure over them.

I just foto what I can see on any given day and don't ask many questions.

Thank You for the response.

Freud is on vacation and doesn't have internet access.  He's heading home today, but called me last nite and asked if I'd report the weekly update.  No problem.  Here's the url:
http://www.target550.com/gallery/112_a_look_at_2007/index.html

This post is a look back at the state of the liner in 2007.  You can compare the latest photos in the previous few posts to see the progress that's been made.  This is one of the photos, showing a high-level conference between Hume and Marlo...or they could be discussing the weather.  :)

We'll be back to our regularly scheduled updates and current photos next week.

That will be fun finding a 60' long paintbooth when it comes time to paint the chassis.
Records or parts, I didn't come all this way not to break something.

I found a computer and an old railroad tunnel so the car can be painted in there.

Seems unusual to be back in front of a keyboard.

Thanks R.Therat.

Not true! It only needs to be 5' x 5'.

And 60' tall.
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

Keeping a wet edge with that fancy blue will be just as hard!

Just use the Boeing booth at Paine Field,  its big enough for the 747 and recycles the over spray. :-o Tony

While the car is being sprayed we may as well have the trailer done at the same time.

Not much consideration regarding paint until a sponsor is found. No need to paint it twice.

That's one reason for the way the metal is being prepped. It will have a brushed finish until it's painted.

It's been 2 weeks since I was at Humes. There will be a post either Friday or Saturday related to the build but I decided to

show a little of "what's just laying around" in the shop.

That url will take you to the site.

Thanks, Doc.

I have one of those RPM indicators and it was Tom Beatty's. I got it when I bought his lathe.

I helped a guy paint a race car in the trailer once, worked out ok but rather cramped as you can imagine.  I think the paint might have been dry by the start of the race....
