I just returned from a funeral for my cardiologist. He had cared for me for 29 years and was a real guy.

I just wish he could have been scattered behind Dave Davidson's roadster. He was a 300 MPH dude.

This link will take you thru the plumbing for the clutch slave units.

Remember to go back a post or two and see the cyls, their mounts and the flex line that connects to the stainless tube.

Freud, I asked Ray this one and he didn't have the answer -- said he'd have to ask you for it.  So - I'll do that in person.  Here's a copy of what I asked him (on Facebook) about today's post:

"Ray -- how come in #109-009 Wilbur and Orville are the large lines, but in 110-010 they're referred to as being the smaller lines. Hunh?"

Since we are dealing with correctness I will make one correction.

You will have to make the other one. I hate dealing with clairvoyance.  We have not had Post 110 yet. Todays post is

109 so I can't help you regarding Post 110. I'll try to make certain that I have no line copy in Post 110-010.

From the right hand side here is the arrangement for the lines.

The two to the extreme right are for Orville and Wilbur.

The two larger fittings, near the center, are for the clutches.

The three small lines (extreme left side) are color coded Red, White and Blue. Those are the codes for First gear, Second Gear and Third gear

in the transmissions.

Thanks for notifying me of the mistakes.

The numbers I included (i.e. 109-009) are the photo ID numbers, not post numbers.  I erred in the second one -- should have been 109-010.  Sorry.  The question still stands, though.

It's answered in reply #679 and also in the current post on Target550.com.

You do not understand that 109 is the post number and 009 is the image number

Please check and see if I am incorrect in my corrections.

Okay, now it reads correctly.  Thanks.  Just being pernickety. . .  No, there is no "s" in that word -- although common usage allows it because so many folks do put one there.  Look it up.

ok, OK, OK.

Pernickety. You are technically correct and functionally wrong.

Pernsnickety is the customary U.S. usage. Pernickety is the archaic and British form of the word.

The definition says it all:

Pernickety
Definition
Giving too much attention to small details which are not important in a way that annoys other people.

Lynda, correct spelling is "pernickety" -- there's no "s" in that word.  Really -- look it up if you don't believe me.

Consistency: same basic statement, same basic answer: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/persnickety

Well, I'm torn between labeling you archaic or British. Hmm, choices . . .
