Ray Therat has posted the second edition of his trip to Hume's following the Bonneville NW Reunion.

He raised up to eye level and snapped away.

This is the direct link to his post:

Ray and Dave have a heart to heart.

The second person recognized in the Unsung Hero portion of www.target550.com  is Marlo's longtime friend, Captain Cress Baxter.

Read how the relationship developed and what an influence it had on Marlo's life.

Great read. Sets the background for the build. Thanks.

"Got'Cha" was first run in 1974. Bill Temple entered both 2 clubs in 1976 with records in AA/BGR. At El Mirage 201.79 and Bonneville at 220.

In 1977 Greg Temple started driving "Got'Cha" and entered the El Mirage Dirty 2 club in 1979 @ 201.97. Greg went on to set two records at Bonneville, one in 1981 at 241.848, then in 1991 he set another record at 262.230

Bill and Greg were the first father and son to enter the El Mirage Dirty 2 club. They broke the D/BFR at Bonneville in 1981 @ 241 with top speed of 249. This record still stands today. In 1991 they set the A/BFR @ 262 which was later broke by Duane McKinney.

Be patient viewers. My tail is draggin' from 2 weeks of being drug thru the dung backwards.

Our post may not be until late Friday.

Marlo goes out of town and the kids forget the time line.

Ray Therat didn't create the holdup.

Let's also not overlook the fact that Freud hasn't been feeling all that great himself and is usin some new and unfamiliar software.  I think he deserves a little consideration in this respect.

We'll get some new stuff out on Friday, but it prolly won't be the very first thing in the morning.

We humble servants of the Gods of Speed await the next missive from on high.

Grumbly and impatient, but we wait.

As the next piece is crafted and fabricated and installed we all lean a little closer listening in the distance for that crisp sound of a blown motor firing up.

Now that I have looked at the baby hummingbirds, www.phoebeallens.com, looked at the prices for the Charlie Sheen appearance at Comcast Arena in

Everett, $50-$500 and must be 18 years old, dried the Compact Flash card that went through the washing machine, sniffed the new gardenia blossom in the bedroom, groomed our Persian cat and

rearranged my neck ties according to color and descending length, I can consider doing the post.

Frank Martinez brought his demo piece for the underbody wheel fairings. I'll show that piece and explain what's great about

it.

Go back to the post from 01-08-2011, 087-007 for the review.

It's surprising what extent they pursue to make the new piece "just right."

There will be a short interruption while I go eat the Portabella Mushroom Omelette that Doris made for me. She only cooks this

special treat on the Friday before full moon in the month of the Spring Equal Nockers.

I asked Ray Therat to develop a computer program that would include the fragrance of the Gardenia in a foto. He is having trouble.

The gardenia makes him sneeze so this will be just the image.

I'll get started on the post soon.

Thanks for not shouting at me.

The post for this week is done. It drops back to my last post and finishes off the oil system plumbing

and then transitions to the Kevlar pieces under the car for the streamlining around the wheels.

So far only the fronts have been addressed. Hume is working on the rear fairings and it will be a while before they

are completed.

Frank Martinez is a well qualified builder and I look forward to the follow up to this post regarding the replaceable parts.

Friday turned into Saturday. There is still another post regarding the pans and it may be posted before next Friday.

This shoot has been over at least 2 months and sorting out the images turned out to be a bigger chore than I anticipated.

I hope you enjoy it.
