So I didn't cooperate. I just don't no how.
So I can get a shot back at my English Teacher web elf.
He is so reluctant to leave his Canon that he posted the name of my camera in Canon terms.
I am the only one with a Nikon hybrid D700 posted in Canon terms: 700D.

Oops. Yer right, Doc. I spose I otta stick to stuff I know about. Peter, I agree. He do VERY well, don't he?  Btw, my glasses are pushed up on top of my head when I shoot, then come back down to look at the LCD. Everybody has a different technique, I spose.

Ray, Thanks for the insiders view. Lots of work goes into what Master Freud does. Taking the pictures is only half the work. The other half is done on his computer then sent to you. Thank you both for all you hard work, giving all of us an insight as to what it takes to build such a magnificent Streamliner. I know I really appreciate it. Tom G.

"Got'Cha" was first run in 1974. Bill Temple entered both 2 clubs in 1976 with records in AA/BGR. At El Mirage 201.79 and Bonneville at 220.
In 1977 Greg Temple started driving "Got'Cha" and entered the El Mirage Dirty 2 club in 1979 @ 201.97. Greg went on to set two records at Bonneville, one in 1981 at 241.848, then in 1991 he set another record at 262.230
Bill and Greg were the first father and son to enter the El Mirage Dirty 2 club. They broke the D/BFR at Bonneville in 1981 @ 241 with top speed of 249. This record still stands today. In 1991 they set the A/BFR @ 262 which was later broke by Duane McKinney.

Nice to see the Master at work. The first thing I looked for was dings on his head. When you need to make a shot you sacrifice the body to get the camera where it needs to be. I have fewer dings on my head since digital cameras with swivel screens came out.

So that's what he looks like in casual clothes. I've only been with Freud on the salt (shorts and a t-shirt) and at the reunion (tuxedo, top hat, swallowtail coat). Now we know what he's like in his spare time.
Nice photos, Jason (and Freud and RtR, for that matter).

I think the splitter is a little wider than an inch at the very front, but that's just a SWAG. We've got a coupla posts "in the can" that'll show up in the next week or so, but then I think we're gonna get pretty comprehensive coverage on the nose and splitter. I'd run over and measure it, but the commute's a bit long for me (I live in Utah.) Actually, the commute isn't a real short one for Freud, either. He's put a lotta miles on his car gettin these photos.
As far as being amazed, join the club. I feel that way every time I see a new batch of photos. I think Sparky has a handle on it: folks are gonna study this for a long time to come, based on the comprehensive nature of the coverage. It's a "how-to" for building a liner. I realize there's more than one way to skin a cat, but this cat's definitely gettin skinned!

On this page of their web site, they mention a dimension for the splitter of 5/8 inch (although that might have changed over time and the web page never updated). http://www.target550.com/project.htmIf you know the head size on the panel fasteners you could also scale the dimensions fairly closely from the picture Ray linked to.
