Thanks Jim.
I used the shot just to show a wide view and a possible location for the push button.
It never occurred to me that he was referring to the mock up engine.
Thanks for pulling me back to reality.
Sorry Franey.....I wasn't mocking you. I just couldn't imagine how the starter button would get ingested into the engine.
You still have two strikes to use. LOL

Freud, My guess is that Franey thinks that is an assembled runner of an engine that the dish full of FOD is sitting on. Jim
didn't realize it was a mock up engine; and don't know what fod is. franey

Actually it started out in the 50's as a description of what happend to your jet engine, FOD "foreign object damage". When all the TV show documentaries started showing the crew walking the deck of a carrier looking for junk it got warped into foreign object debris.

Ray Therat has posted another group of fotos on www.target550.comThese have a rather large summary of the carrier and the pins used to lift the car. There is a foto of the car being lifted by the carrier. It's from the achieves. There are also several shots of fire suppression lines. Enjoy. Watch for surprise postings in the future. FREUD

I've been to the holy land . I've seen the holy grail. I've meet the Knight Templar (Freud). I'm not worthy! My new goal in life is to build my new liner with NO Dzus fastners!

Whoa Whoa Whoa !!!!
Don't rule out Dzuz fastners to hold the seat.
Sometimes when you have to change your shorts the seat needs changing also.
You may be in a hurry and generally they aren't seen in there.
Besides, if you drop a pen, they always end up under the seat.
Hume agrees. Marlo said, "just find another pen," and Jason says if it's hot the ink will dribble out.
All things to consider.

Friday came early for the Target 500 site. Freud's out at his Thursday evening gathering...maybe he won't notice. This might have something to do with insomnia. Who knows? Anyway, this update covers a buncha ground. The blower ducting and burst deflectors were refinished, some new blower belt idlers made and the big part of the update shows the wiring for the starters with the "remove before flight" blocks, starter switches (one for each motor) and wiring for external battery connection. There are rumors about motors going to the dyno soon. This could get real interesting. Video, maybe. Stay tuned. http://www.target550.com/gallery/64_blower_ducting_burst_deflectors_belt_idlers_starter_wiring&reverence/index.htmlDunno how I screwed the url up, but thanx for the catch.

Is it Friday yet? Maybe Ray Therat will do a post for me. Oh well, there will be something next week. As a bonus for finding our post ( www.target550.com) thru Landracing.com, I'll let you in on a funny. The two gentlemen, Omer and Keith, in the last foto, were bringing a bad BBC Chevy from Davenport's shop to Marlo. They got to the US/Canada border, about 50 miles from Hume's shop, and Customs wouldn't let them bring the engine across. They had to return to Vancouver, find a place to leave it and then came to Hume's shop. That's why they were contemplating the Customs Agents. Get the "rest of the story on Landracing.com." FREUD

Freud, any chance you could make up some copy's of your infamous motor cycle a la natural photo and sell em , autographed of course, on this sight to raise some money for your photography expense? I'd go 20$ for a copy.
