As usual I look at this build and recognize all of the engineering and design decisions that have had to be made to get to the point it is at now and all of the details that will have to be worked out in the future to get it finished and my mind is absolutely boggled!!
The drive and tenacity of the people involved with this project is unbelievable!

Once again I would like to thank Freud and Ray for their time and effort involved in bringing all of us this fantastic build. The documentation of this build is beyond what I ever imagined. I hope for everyone involved with this project, that their dream's come true. You all deserve it.

"Got'Cha" was first run in 1974. Bill Temple entered both 2 clubs in 1976 with records in AA/BGR. At El Mirage 201.79 and Bonneville at 220.
In 1977 Greg Temple started driving "Got'Cha" and entered the El Mirage Dirty 2 club in 1979 @ 201.97. Greg went on to set two records at Bonneville, one in 1981 at 241.848, then in 1991 he set another record at 262.230
Bill and Greg were the first father and son to enter the El Mirage Dirty 2 club. They broke the D/BFR at Bonneville in 1981 @ 241 with top speed of 249. This record still stands today. In 1991 they set the A/BFR @ 262 which was later broke by Duane McKinney.

I honestly don't think that we will see this car turn a wheel in anger for at least 2-3 years. When you consider the level of craftsmanship and the amount of things to remaining to do, I think that 2-3 years could be optimistic. Once they are done with all of the fabrication and body work the car has to come completely appart and then everything is going to get painted, coated, plated or what ever coating that Hume decides the part should be covered with and then it has to be re-assembled and then wired and plumbed, and this assumes that the engine program is running in parallel with the car build. A car that is this sophistacated and crewed by the level of people that are involved with it, will have a very long and extensive testing period.
I am as anxious as everyone to see this car turn a wheel but when it does I know it will be right and fast.

The people that have the least invested in the program demand more answers than the one paying the bill.
Rex, you hit it perfectly. It still has to come completely apart before it ever fires.
The engines are developed. Before long they will be on the dyno but there is no need for them today.
The dummy engines are serving their purpose.

Please accept my apologies. I should have had last Friday's update posted on Friday. Freud had the images ready for me early in the week and I'd prepared most of the web pages. But I got caught up in the Speed Week thing and I actually forgot what day it was and then just spaced it. So color me sun-stroked. However, all is not lost. I got the stuff posted tonite. I only gave it a cursory check, so there may be an error or two.
