As Freud wrote, that prepares it for the concours d'elegance.

Ray,

Was this a Freudian slip, or a hint of thing to come?

Well, it'd almost have to be Freudian, since he wrote it.  :)

Freud, my students and I can learn a lot from your level of documentation - I always enjoy seeing all the details of this marvel car.  I attached a photo of HS Junior James Vest "Bugatti Swirling" (for lack of a better word) the instrument panel for our Urban Concept (the boys') car. Of course they wanted to use alu diamond plate  :-D.  Looking foward to have us come and visit again later this year.

Ossum, Micheal.  Kool shot of young Master Vest engine-turning the panel.  Looks like he's doing a super job.

Just as you're following us, we're following you.  Keep up the good work.  Both teams have my respect and admiration.  Not bad for a rat, huh?  :)

The Northwest Deuce Days was held in Victoria, BC, Canada July 17-18. They had over 900 entries and 85 were from California.

As some of the people were headed south to the Goodguys Puyallup, Washington weekend, they were invited to tour

Jim Hume's shop.  There was more than a little LSR experience in the group and included a few red hats and a batch of current

records. They were a fun bunch to share with.

Keep clicking on the foto. It gets larger.

Now I know why Tom Walsh has not called me. I hope he is in a good stopping point with the streamliner he is working on.

Ray just posted a new group of fotos on www.target550.com.

It also included the group foto of the touring roadster boys (and Ladies) with a wanna' be roadster, in coupe

form, leading the way.

They left their steeds long enough to eye ball the 'liner, but not long enough to remove their winter coats

that are required to survive the freezing Canadian summer.

Here is their Fearless Leader. He has skilled mechanics following him.

Just for political correctness, the machinist term for the decorative swirls on aluminum is "Engine Turning".

It's Friday and we have an update.  Late Friday, but still Friday (most places.)

This week's update covers a lot of different areas...more instrument panel work, engine attachment plate, steering wheel, controllers and probably one of the more complex parts of the skin, the piece that joins the main section and the tail, with provisions for the speed brake.

Enjoy,
