About 3 years ago there was a school group from SLC that was bussed in. They had a ball, got to ride down the course in the bus at about 60mph. Had group pictures taken with the top speed car along with Charles Nearburg and the big trophy. I sent a DVD to the school of all of the shots I took. Talked to several of the kids and most said it was one of the best school outings ever.

Michael Werner has arranged for a group from some school in SLC to visit them during WOS.

I think they too will get a marvelous reception.

We will have a new post yet today. Ray Therat has been very busy getting his 130 Club race car ready and

I just haven't been organized enough to post the pictures that i did in Granite Falls, WA for the trip to

WOS with their Urban Concept car.

So later today we should have a new post.

Sorry for the delay. I'll have another post related to the Target550 car at the end of the week.

Talk about dedication. Ray Therat had the post done in record time and this was while he was dumping oil in his race car.

I just can not thank him enough.

We certainly support this first time team and their fantastic project.

THANKS again RAY.

Have fun Guys. My guess this trip is going to be a blast! :-D :-D :-D

Keep up the good job of reporting Freud. It's too bad you're missing the trip.

It will probably be Saturday before the next post.

Time is upset for a few weeks but I will make a post soon.

Besides, Ray Therat is still on the Salt and I don't like to bother him.

When he is there he is always busy 25 hours in a day.

We will have a post yet today. Ray Therat has the Monte Carlo loaded and is about ready to

take the car home. Then he will return to Wendover Sunday. While he is at home I will have a story

ready and he can post it.

Sorry for the delay.

I didn't want to reduce the drama of WOS with a build diary.

No angst Freud, self imposed deadlines are killers.

Thanks for waiting.

This is a short post but the next one will have a lot in it.

There will be a small part that was modified to do the opposite job for which it was designed.

A unique problem developed with the oil tank and it was a machinists method of solving it that is on a par with the project.

There is a good chance that the next post will be on Saturday.

I suppose vacations are the time to step back and take it easy.

I did. I brought enough images so that I could do a post from here.

So, during the day, Friday, Ray will make a new post for us.

So when he gets a few minutes Friday several interesting parts and a unique situation will be presented.

Thanks for your interest.

Watch early Friday. It wouldn't surprise me if Ray Therat makes the post before he goes out to the Salt.

Things are happening at a rapidly satisfying rate.

I'll keep you advised as fast as I can.

The post is early for once.

Ray did his job before going to the salt.

Amazing work. Thanks for the pictures and explanation. As much art as engineering.

I believe the tank and therefor the  ring is stainless, a fairly tough material to machine. What type of material did they use for the tap?
