There are direct openings from the burst panels to the outside of the body.
Much to our surprise the manifold gaskets blew out instead of the burst panels.
There will be a lot learned when they do the tear down.
Run and learn......

I met Les Davenport for the first time and talked with him quite a bit. He is a pretty darn good human and I consider him a new ally in my quest to be ALIVE. Glenn, please tell him I said so. Peter Vincent same story. Bonneville. Glenn, Smooches. Wayno

Freud, Is it possible that there was an air/fuel leak at the front engine that was ignited by the ignition fire at the rear blowing the front panels out? Jim

Dan Warner says it's all in the rule book.

I think this is Freud's subtle way of indicating via asterisk that the USFRA event will just be a minor footnote in the history of this streamliner one day...

I rank the USFRA event as a dedication to strength for their club.
That event must be as a huge church wedding for the daughter of a sharecropper.
With limited funds they presented a unique event and as far as the Target550 team
is concerned we can not adequately THANK them for the opportunity they gave us.
It was well organized and stress free.
SCTA is the Wall Street of LSR and USFRA is Grand Pa and Gran Ma putting on
a picnic that the kids will never forget.
Long live family racing.
Mark, I hope what you say is true. Right now it seems very distant.

Doc are you practicing your tuck? At first, I thought he was sending a text from Walmart . . . Then I thought it might have been a reference to Kurt Vonnegut's "Breakfast of Champions" . . . But sometimes, an asterisk is just an asterisk. So it goes . . .

Treat yourself to the marvelous images of the Target550 car
that were done by Peter Vincent at the USFRA Test & Tune.
Open Facebook and access Peter Vincent's posts.
Old school images in the digital era are fantastic.
