Thanks, Freud and Ray.

It will be great to see this fine piece of racing art in person in just a few days.

I just returned from being involved with picking up Marlo's car from Hume's shop.

They have about 235 miles from where I live to Treit's shop.  Probably be there between midnight and 1:00AM.

That's the first time it has touched the ground. I'll post several images Sunday.

It sure is long and low. Just seeing it on the ground was emotional.

This history in the making.

Thanks to all involved for letting us see your dream materialize right before our eyes.

It will be great to see it in the flesh, but I want watch, hear and smell it streek down the course.

Thanks again, Don

I'll tell you. It's dificult to describe: my feelings as compared to what Hume thought as the trailer door was closed.

For me it was like your first kid moving out. It was difficult to see the change. Jim must have had one of several

feelings. He knows it's not finished, it will come back and then all of the small things will still need to be finished.

The car is ready for liquids. All of the mechanical part is done. The apparently never ending work on the tail section

must still be cleaned up. The date that it was going to leave "the nest" was established and whatever wasn't done

would just have to wait. I think the wait is well worthwhile.

Sitting on the driveway gives a totally different feel that I have ever experienced but there is a lot more to come.

Stan Back I wasn't worried about the length of anything on the wedding day.

At almost 43 years of age I have been reading my/dads collection of old Hot Rod mags about all the guys that were racing in the 50s/60s. There was a detachment, like I missed something. But, in the last 12+ years via the internet and in person I have been able to meet some of those heros of past. Met many more folks and now, thanks to this am able to see another piece of history. I don't wish to go back in time, I think we are living in a pretty momentus time for being a hot rodder!

The car has always looked amazing in the pictures and the one of it sitting out in the driveway is the best one yet! Thanks you again so much for sharing it with everyone! Have a great safe trip to Bonneville I unfortunately will have to wait another year,  the liner being there made me want to go that much more.
