If I am reading the 2009 rule book right, a -15 driver suit is required in a blown/turbo car at all speeds below 200 mph. Can someone verify that the -5 suit that I ran in the Miata up to 135 is unusable for anything blown?
I am considering using a T5 Volvo C or V70 to tow my bike next season with the idea it might be workable for the 130 club at next years World of Speed. I figured T/O runs at Maxton would give me a feel for how likely that would be but I don't know if I want to invest in another driver suit since the car wouldn't have a decent shot at record chasing. I suppose a n/a Mustang is the 'smart' choice to chase the 13- club with though they are borderline for towing the bike which may giving up the Miata versus my jeep. The Volvos are rated to tow 3,300 pounds which easily covers my needs. Of course, all of this depends on how things are looking come October when I set my goals for next season.
