ECTA/SCTA Licenses

Myself and many others have been muttering in the background about this,and I guess we're all looking for a definite answer.  We're all driving a long ways, and spending a lot of money (in this economy) to get there, and to race. Is the LTA honoring an SCTA/ ECTA License. IF NOT, how many steps below your license do you have to start at in order to prove your vehicle control and stability.
AA-starts at?
A- starts at?
B- starts at?
C- starts at?
We're all thinking this should be a pretty easy answer considering its cut and dry that SCTA honors ECTA and Visa-Versa.  I burn aproximately 2 gallons of gas in a mile, and its $9 a gallon, i need to get an idea of how much this will cost with multiple drivers. We get it that safety is a #1 concern, believe me it is for us too.  We all just want to know where we're going to have to start, and what we need to be prepared for.  Thanks for the quick response

We all go 25 mph faster @ a time, one increment  per run.
The only considerations will be to current SCTA/ECTA Comp licenses, but the rookie run policy will apply.

Since everyone will be a "rookie" at this track, I think the confusion is regarding what MPH does an existing SCTA / ECTA licensed driver / rider start at.

And does everyone only move up in 25 MPH increments or did you mean as long as a previous vehicle safely navagates the course, do you allow the faster speeds ?  In other words, are we proving the track, or justifying our license catagory (again) ?

If every single entrant has to start at 125 MPH and work up in 25 MPH increments, that will require 5 to 6 runs each to attain vehicle potentials.

I went to Maxton last year after having run 190's at Texas Mile since 2003.

They let me skip the 125, start 150.

I felt that was reasonable.

Now i have a buncha passes at 200-208 under my belt, but still feel that doing slower "familiarization" passes is not at all a bad idea.

Greenjunk, just bring 50 gallons and you will be fine...  :-D  Lower licensing speeds you will use much less fuel than when running 250+

What vehicle do you now have and what licenses are held?

The car has broke 25+ records at maxton all over 170mph, and currently holds 3 over 200+ with a max of 212mph.  went 190 at maxton in may on a small shot of nitrous. probably has 25-30 passes between mike and I at over 175mph.  I'm not just asking for me personally, though, i just want to know what the exact position is on scta ecta licenses. its kind of yes or no here.

It would be nice to know where we start from.  The 636 will do 185 max, with luck.  My 1st pass at Maxton 3 years ago was allowed to be 150 by Keith.  I was coming in from a roadracing background and he gave the OK.  What speed I start at isn't an issue, just like to know where.  Like many it is a long trip and we are bringing 2 bikes.

As a heads up at the lakes and Bonneville everyone is a rookie to the course the first time. After our drivers meeting at Bonneville every one is allowed to drive down the courses they will be running on to know the lay of the land. Where the turns outs are as well as the return roads. Knowing what the mile markers look like etc. At Tthe lakes we do this on Saturday after inspection closes. You get a better idea of the surface you will be running on and being this is a new venue the volunteers will be on a learning curve as well.It takes a lot of cooperation from everyone. And now and then Nancy and I go through the rookie orientation at Maxton - just to see if there's something that we haven't learned or something new.  Just like "seat time"  --  too much is just barely enough.  And we always drive the course at Bville, although it's pretty common for us to have a passenger or two that haven't seen the course.  We drive it whether alone or with somebody, though.

I really thought we'd covered all this.
I don't care who you know, EVERYBODY is a NEWBIE.
it's all about SAFETY. every one will be scrutinized according to all their info. The vehicles potential, both in speed and possible handling issues, the driver/riders skill experience, it's our responsibility to protect you,.... and our investment.
It seems there are actually individual's that think because they have a AA at SCTA they can go 200 off the trailer at Loring ? Not on my watch, Boy Racer...
I will not cover this again, trust me you will be satisfied in the opportunity to make enough runs top have wrung out whatever your junk is capable of.
Anybody dumb enough to run over the limits we set in tech is obviously liable to be escorted out.
RANT over....hopefully point is made..
Let's have a good time, a good safe time, the conditions are great, but there is always a learning curve, everyplace.
